About dhirrawong ceramics
Jingy Wallah!
My name is Emma Walke and I am Bundjalung woman and potter from the North Coast of NSW. Thanks for stoping by!
I love ceramics, it gives me a lot of joy. I hope you enjoy looking around.
I predominantly make functional ware with the odd foray into sculpture and wall hangings.
I generally use stoneware clays, white and also a blended clay that is darker has fires with shiny specks.
I am inspired by this beautiful country, the land, river and sea where I love and my culture. I try, where I can to use our language for each design. Sometimes I am inspired by my past, where I have lived, like the Batik range, from a dress my mother wore when I was a child and we lived in Indonesia.
If you are interested in any of my work, there is a link above on the right to the shop.
Have a great day!
